Pica and I spent the past three weekends at Four Leggers Doggie Daycare painting the front desk (well, Pica was more of a distraction than an assistant, but at least a cute one!) After a good 45+ hours, it’s finally complete! An album of process photos are on Facebook.

Yes! Although Pica is also defined as “a unit of type size and line length equal to 12 points (about 1/6 of an inch)” — the main reason we chose the name. I’m kind of a design nerd so I thought it was cute. Also, a pika, pronounced the same way, is “a small mammal related to the rabbits, having rounded ears, short limbs, and a very small tail.” Basically a Corgi.

Did you know that I now have “Ten Little Corgi Pups” available as a magnet in my Etsy shop? It’s celebratory AND functional! A great little birthday gift for the Corgi lover in your life.
A few of my paintings are now hanging at Waters & Brown on Elliott Street in Beverly, MA (color enthusiasts, you gotta check this place out). They’re in the process of redecorating their wall space — but once that’s finished, more art to come! Many thanks to Josh for his assistance (and for the great photos).
